🎨 Creative Resource: Let’s talk about carceral (prison state) culture in yoga
Susanna Barkataki, an Indian yoga teacher, shares important insight on how “yoga is a practice of liberation” and how “yoga can help create freedom…From ending carceral systems to personal liberation”. As I’ve been practicing yoga for a few years now, I’ve found it necessary to learn from BIPOC yogis, especially Indian yogis such as Barkataki, to understand the depth of this practice.
